My first real adventure in cake decorating.

It all started when my office decided we were going to throw Wendy the most fabulous 50th birthday party ever!

She collects teddy bears, so we got together and made sure that we had 50 stuffed teddy's of all different sizes. Before she could come in that morning, we had completely surrounded her desk with them. We wanted everything to follow the teddy bear theme, so we started to google Teddy Bear Cakes. Irene and Lynne found one on Kraft.com and it looked easy enough, so I took on the task of making it (this is where I should tell you that before this, Wendy was our go to cake lady, but we couldn't exactly ask her to make her own birthday cake).

Armed with Teddy Grahams, Oreos and Cool Whip for the icing, I went to work.

Baked the cakes and cut them out into the shapes that I needed and started icing.

I have to admit, for my first try at a cake that was more than just a rectangle with icing, it looked pretty good.

Wendy was so surprised when she came in that morning and saw all the Teddy Bear's that she cried. Then, cried again when she saw the cake. It turned out to be a very special day.
