My friend Brandee from work was blessed with the birth of her son Antayos in January after a very long and grueling pregnancy. She and John welcomed Antayos into the world with open arms and hearts.
Now it's our turn!
We are throwing her a baby shower tonight and I took on the task of making the cake. I have to admit, I cheated a little bit as I didn't have as much time as I hoped to have. I bought the booties, the soothers and the ribbon instead of making them myself. Hopefully next time I will be able to try my hand at gum paste and make them all on my own like a big girl :D
It's a chocoalte cake, with chocolate truffle filling and chocolate icing. It's death by chocolate! But going to be soooo worth! I will have to post pictures of it when it's cut so that you can see the layers.
I'm very excited for Brandee to see it!
